Hand Painting on Fabric (part 1)

Mother Kangaroo hand-painted design of mother kangaroo

This panel features a mother kangaroo and joey, in a simple design of hills and tracks. I have painted a central block and drawn lines out from the design to create the illusion of more space.

Planning

When painting individual areas in the design you need to keep each area separate, unless you want the paint to merge. To this end I looked at the design and worked out bands of landscape. I put in 2 extra rows of hills and divided the foreground into 2 earthy bands.
